Menu loaded, this afternoon, at the monthly meeting of the Executive Board of the Medef. The "Government" of the organization chaired by Laurence Parisot must take a position on several major issues: the draft law on immigration debate in the National Assembly, reports of Dominique-Jean Chertier and Raphaël Hadas-Lebel on social dialogue and the representativeness of trade unions, the first results of the consultations conducted by Laurence Danon, the patron saint of spring, on the links between businesses and new generations...
The Division of the Medef must particularly endorse the departure of Guillaume Sarkozy. The former candidate to the estate of Ernest-Antoine Seilliere, in tandem with Francis sea arrived Wednesday at the end of its mandate at the head of the Union of textile industries. He takes this opportunity to turn the page of employer commitment and for "Les Echos", draws lessons from its experience. He is currently President of cabinet Résalliance Board, which carries out 35 million euros of turnover and employs 250 people.

Why you now forget all your employer mandates
My mandate to the Presidency of the Union of textile industries (ITU) is coming to end Wednesday and Lucien Deveaux will succeed me. I draw the consequences leaving the functions which were assigned to me as representative of the ITU, namely the Chair of the liaison committee of labour industries (Climo), Vice-Chairman of the Group of the industrial federations (GFI) and a seat on the Executive Board of the Medef. I have twenty-seven years of industry and Trade Union commitment behind me fifteen years. It is moving to look at this long period during which I built and it is also sad to leave this world so rich.
Were you not obliged to leave after the filing of your company in September
I had not imagined this scenario for weaving of Picardie. In September, I offered my resignation to the ITU, but they asked me to go to the end of my annual term. I would have had any legitimacy to stay: good professional federations are not chaired by business leaders. You need to know to turn the page. Today, I plump on other responsibilities.
Are you a candidate for the Presidency of Euratex, the European Union of textile, which will soon be renewed
After much reflection, I am not candidate, even if it is a tear. I currently chairs a group of human resources Council and I have not the time to run Europe.
A year ago, you declare package in the race for the Presidency of the Medef. Do you have the sense of a failure
I am permanently leaving the Medef and I turned the page without any bitterness. I regret nothing. The project that I have defended with Francis Mer in 2005 as the image that we have probably did not correspond to the expectations of the organization.
What perspective do you wear on the action of Laurence Parisot
That reform may be in this country, business leaders must be daring. It is not the unions that may be, or the State, which is entangled in contradictions and his impecuniosity. Laurence Parisot is in this state of mind. With the drafting of a white paper for 2007, it will really be able print its mark. The President of the Medef was criticized during the crisis of the CPE. For my part, I find that she had the right intuition from the outset in this case and, if there was a lack of readability, this was not at the Medef, but well on the Government side!
Under President Seillière, you were responsible for social protection. Do you have advice to give to your successor, Jean-René Bush
I know that his work is appreciated by the unions. It has a large shipyard before him, that of the financing of social protection. To base the system on the production of French companies has no meaning in a globalised society, it is necessary to weigh a portion of the cost of social protection on the consumer.
On Europe, employers isn't still too timid
The European economy must regain the initiative. I am well placed to know, with my experience in the textile, how it is necessary to reorder trade flows to resist, including China. Lisbon, European Governments have built knowledge in priority, but it nothing happens since. Should criminalize dogma the protection of intellectual property and the protection of the consumer and the environment, that the products are manufactured in Europe or not.
