So hither to a merry list of potential AllStar snubs

The number of guards that deserve to start in place of him are by far and wide, many (his teammate, Louis Williams, for starters). Yet, Iverson will most probably get to make his eleventh All-Star appearance, as his large fanbase has always stood behind him (undoubtedly due to the multiple scoring titles he amassed as a 76er). And guards, like Louis Williams, will continue to miss out on the show, as most will not recognize their efficacy. So hither to a merry list, of potential All-Star snubs. With an amiable personality albeit relentless playing style, Horford makes for the consummate professional There's no denying he's undersized for a center.

Measuring only 6'8 and three-quarter inches, most bigs tower over Horford like a menacing older brother. But Horford's toiling nature makes his playing out of position a curious suggestion altogether. His continued improvement (despite the height disadvantage) over the last couple of years, has been a masterfully scripted study. One that gives credance to the saying "a lesson is like a swiftly flowing river". And Horford has been exactly thata current, taking those observant enough to notice, down that winding body of water. And those foolish enough to dismiss him, obstructed by his tide. That's why behind Dwight Howard, Horford's been the East's second best center. Yet, he remains fourth in All-Star ballot votes, trailing Shaquille O'Neal and Andrea Bargnani.

And though a scant few points seperate Horford and Bargnani, it's doubtful that he'll overtake O'Neal, who leads him by more than 336,000 votes. In truth, Horford should not be lagging so far in back of Howard, as not much has separated the two (this season) in terms of individual performance. Howard is better with respect to scoring, rebounding, and blocking shots. He also shoots a higher percentage from the floor, but the margin of difference is not so disparately contrasting, that Howard can be considered all that more efficient. Not to mention, that coupled with the high amount of turnovers he accumulates over the course of games, quite the opposite can be surmised, as Horford is not only well above-average with respect to shooting efficiency but is also an above-average ball-handler.
